New to Costa Rica. Not new to the work.
SignWorks Costa Rica is owned by Ariel L., who has more than 20 years of experience in sign production outside Costa Rica. Before opening in Tamarindo, we ran a full-scale commercial production facility: over 350 illuminated signs a year, more than 180,000 square meters of print, industrial UV printing lines, CNC cutting, and illuminated sign fabrication for retail chains, hotels and commercial properties. That is the operation we come from.
Then we came to Costa Rica, and we stayed. Talking to business owners in Tamarindo, Nosara and Flamingo, we kept hearing the same frustration: signs ordered months ago and still not delivered, promises not kept, quality that did not justify the wait or the price. We had spent years solving exactly that problem, somewhere else. So we brought what we know how to do here.
We work directly with every client, with no middlemen or subcontractors. From the first conversation to the installation, you deal with the people who design and build your sign.
Our own sign, on our own shop
Our shop at Plaza La Josefina, in La Garita Nueva, wears the same kind of sign we build for our clients, and we made every letter of it ourselves. By day the letters read clean against the black facade. At night they light up the whole front.
Printed here, in Guanacaste
Banners, window film and rigid panels come off our own UV hybrid printer. It prints from the roll and on flat boards, and the UV lamps cure the ink as the head passes, so a print leaves the machine dry and goes straight to finishing.
Cut here, on our CNC router
The letters for our illuminated signs are cut in the same workshop. The router works straight from the design file, through acrylic that still has its protective paper on, so each letter comes off the table clean, matches the drawing, and goes on to assembly.
