Pricing & Timelines

A finished lightbox sign lit at dusk

The price depends on the sign type, size, materials, lighting, structure, location, site access, and installation requirements. We do not publish fixed prices or price lists because every project is custom. Tell our assistant on this site what you need and it will give you an indicative estimate on the spot; our team then prepares the accurate custom quote: contact

Most illuminated signs are ready within 7 business days of artwork approval, depending on complexity and size. If you need a sign urgently, we offer an expedited service. We give you a precise schedule before we start and we stick to it.

No. We offer design and installation as services, and most clients take the full package: design, manufacturing and installation. If you already have a finished design, the price adjusts. Everything included is stated in the quote upfront.

Yes. Send us a photo of your location, approximate dimensions, and your business type — and we will send you an initial quote within 24 hours. We will visit in person before final approval.

Durability & Climate

Yes, if you choose the right materials. Guanacaste has high humidity, intense UV and a heavy rainy season. We work only with materials suited to tropical conditions, and our machinery builds aluminum casings, PVC or a combination of the two.

In Costa Rica, due to tropical conditions, a sign lasts between 1 and 7 years, depending on the requirements, the area, sun exposure, the materials it is built from, and whether it was built as a permanent or a temporary sign (near the ocean vs. inland, direct sun vs. shaded). The casing material also matters: an aluminum-sided sign will last significantly longer than one with a PVC side. We recommend the right material for each location and budget.

A properly installed sign is not affected by rain. The components we use — such as LED strips and drivers — are selected with appropriate IP ratings based on the specific needs and location of each sign. We also recommend an annual maintenance check before the rainy season begins.

We provide a 6-month warranty on all manufacturing and installation work. Damage caused by an unusual storm or external factor is covered by the client's property insurance — we help with damage documentation.

Process & Design

The process is: initial meeting (in person or virtual) → quote within 24 hours → design and approval → manufacturing → installation → final inspection. You approve every step before we move forward. If you need a sign quickly, we offer a fast-track service.

Yes, always. We prepare a digital mockup of the sign on your storefront before we touch any materials. You see exactly how it will look — and only after your approval does manufacturing begin. We also built a free Sign Mockup Tool for our clients to run initial tests on their own before contacting us: sign tools › sign mockup

Changes before manufacturing starts are free. Changes after manufacturing has begun may incur an additional cost depending on the stage. That is why we make sure you approve everything in writing before we start.

Yes. We install throughout Guanacaste at no extra travel cost — Nosara, Flamingo, La Cruz, Liberia, and more. For projects outside of Guanacaste, there may be an additional travel fee, which is stated upfront in the quote.

Sign Types & Technology

Channel letters are individual three-dimensional letters with internal lighting, the more premium look. A box sign is a flat lightbox with a printed logo, cheaper and suited to tighter budgets. We recommend the right type based on your budget, size, and location. Not sure what size letters you need? Try our Sign Size Advisor: sign tools › sign size advisor

Neon LED is a flexible LED strip that mimics the look of classic neon signs — with the vintage aesthetic and soft glow, but all the benefits of LED: low power consumption, high durability, and minimal maintenance. We work with neon LED, not classic gas neon.

Yes. We have a type of sign that behaves almost like an RGB screen, with color changes, animations and effects. It takes much longer to produce than a standard sign because it is built with a very large number of LEDs and a special epoxy construction that keeps the color transitions smooth. It suits bars, restaurants and entertainment businesses.

Yes. We offer annual maintenance contracts that include inspection, cleaning, electrical connection checks, and replacement of worn components. Businesses with regular maintenance save an average of 40% on repairs compared to businesses that wait for a breakdown.

Call us. For issues within Guanacaste we arrive within one week. For projects outside Guanacaste, response time depends on location and is coordinated in advance. Most common issues are resolved in a single visit.

Permits, Upgrades & Why Us

3 questions

It depends on the location and size. Most municipalities in Guanacaste require a permit for signs above a certain size. We know the local requirements, and our attorney assists with the filing process — this is part of our service. There is a separate cost for this which is stated upfront. The full rules, with sources, are on our sign permits page: services › sign permits

If the sign is in a condition that allows for upgrading — yes, and it can save 30–50% compared to a new sign. But if the sign is very old and in poor condition, we will not recommend an upgrade — it would be a temporary fix that ends up costing more in the long run. We will inspect and tell you the truth, even if that means a new sign.

Most sign companies in Guanacaste are middlemen: they take the order and send it to production in San José or abroad. We manufacture in-house, with experience of over 350 illuminated signs per year and our own machinery. That means shorter delivery times, full quality control and a better price for the client.
