Illuminated letters outside, a logo wall inside

Two pieces of healthcare signage: fabricated 3D letters on the façade of an eye clinic, and a reception logo wall for a physiotherapy practice.

The clinic letters are mounted directly onto a rough textured stone-clad façade above the glazed ground-floor frontage. The letter faces are dark, so by day they read as solid dark type against pale stone; the sign is documented as day/night construction, meaning the faces are opaque-looking by day and light through after dark. Fixing into an irregular stone face means each letter is set on individual studs rather than a backing panel, so the joint lines of the cladding stay visible.

The reception wall is built as flat brushed-gold letters and a line-drawn runner-and-heartbeat logo mounted onto a recessed circular disc set into the wall. The letters and logo are flat cut, not built up, so the piece reads as a graphic on a surface rather than as a projecting sign — appropriate for a clinical interior. The recessed disc and the slatted timber panels either side were part of the same wall treatment. It is not illuminated; it is lit by the ceiling lighting.
